SLIS Student Shu Wan to Be Published in Journal

SLIS student, Shu Wan, will have his work published in the upcoming May 2020 issue of The Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship. Shu's article, "The Digital Divide in Public Libraries' Acquisition of Electronic Resources" grew from research he conducted during his studies in Cultural Foundations. His research found that "Patrons residing in larger communities had more opportunities to access electronic resources in their local libraries." Not only are libraries in larger cities more likely to have a more robust collection of electronic materials, their users are more likely to engage with digital content. In fact, his research demonstrates "the existence of 50 'non-database' libraries in the state" and calls for a more access. Congratulations, Shu!
