April LISSO Meeting: Decimating Dewey

April LISSO Meeting: Decimating Dewey

Librarians from the North Liberty Community Library will speak at the April 5 LISSO meeting about their decision to get rid of the Dewey Decimal System and the logistics of changing how the entire library is classified. Discuss the challenges and benefits to ‘Decimating Dewey,’—a current hot topic in the library world.

In addition, the librarians will answer questions about fundraising and planning for a major library expansion.

Please attend our meeting to show appreciation for these librarians traveling to SLIS. The meeting will be in 3082 LIB on Tuesday April 5, from 12 to 1. Cookies will be provided. Please feel free to bring a sack lunch and to come late or leave early.
