Iowa Research Online Shows Journal is Seeing Use

An article in SLIS' open access, peer reviewed journal launched this semester made a top ten list for Iowa Research Online, the university's institutional repository, just weeks after the journal's first publications.

The list, updated March 23, 2010, is based on the number of full text downloads per paper. 2009 SLIS grad Nicki Blair's work entitled Raising the Bar in Public Libraries: Literacy, Adolescent Development and Young Adult Services, made the top ten.

The "Most Popular Papers" list does not claim to be a measure of anything other than number of full text downloads.

BSides is a student driven publication for current and former LIS students at Iowa. Submissions are published on a rolling basis and both multimedia works and works in progress are accepted.
