History Conference Includes Several Discussions of Youth in Libraries

SLIS assistant professor Jennifer Burek Pierce writes about the various youth-focused sessions at the Library History Seminar in Madison, Wisconsin for her American Libraries column.

She says, “Forces of change make young people visible in the library, because attempts to limit access to information and new technologies that promise to improve our connections and impact are highly public activities.”
