Former SLIS Student Presents at Association of Bookmobile & Outreach Services 2016 Conference

Cassandra Elton, former SLIS student and recent recipient of the 2016 Iowa Literacy Award, presented at the Association of Bookmobile & Outreach Services (ABOS) 2016 Conference at Covington, KY on October 19-21. ABOS seeks to support and encourage government officials, library administrators, trustees, and staff in the provision of quality bookmobile and outreach services to meet diverse community information and programming needs.

Elton presented at the conference with her husband, Braedon Jones, and their presentation focused on how to reach out to community-oriented organizations and individuals to foster greater engagement, expanding services for all stakeholders, as well as the ways in which the bookmobile itself serves as the facilitator and catalyst for these budding partnerships.
