The faculty at the School is devoted to student learning and supportive of engagement in Library and Information Science professional activities.
Professors are involved in many interdisciplinary projects and partnerships, which include the Virtual Writing University, the UI Center for the Book, the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science, Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Informatics, and the UI Libraries.

Carol holds a BA in Business Administration and brings over 30 years of operations, project management, and administrative experience to the SLIS department. In her time away from work Carol loves to garden and is an avid apiarist. |

Katie has been with The University of Iowa for over 10 years, most recently with the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She earned her BA in Art History and her BFA in Ceramics from University of Colorado, Boulder, and her Masters in Public Health from The University of Iowa. She is the mother of 2 wonderful boys, Henri and William. In her spare time, she likes to read- mostly non-fiction, make art, and stay connected to friends and family. |
