Iowa Bibliophiles

Join Iowa Bibliophiles and curator Peter Balestrieri as we explore the mind of collector and scholar Thomas O. Mabbott.

Mabbott was the editor of the first three volumes of the "Collected Works of Edgar Allan Poe." While he was a renowned scholar on many famous authors, he is best known for his work on Edgar Allan Poe. To celebrate the October season, we invite you to learn more about his life long passion for Poe and discover the depths of his collection.

Event will be held in Special Collections on the third floor of the Main Library. Doors open at 6:30PM with event starting at 7PM.

Iowa Bibliophiles is free and open for everyone. If you have accommodation needs, please contact Elizabeth Riordan at
