The STEAM Fab Lab is the place to put your creative into the Creative Corridor. When fully open, everyone in the community will have access to a wood shop, metal shop, jewelry smithing, 3D printing, painting, laser cutting, electronics, welding, quilting, CNC machines, robotics, classes, and more. In the last few years it has been building up tools and support from the community, so that it can have a permanent home in a 27,000 square foot facility in south Iowa City. This summer, the Lab will be running a number of educational events, including one day community events, full summer camps, and adult classes such as ‘How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse’ and ‘3D printing 101’.

Come and learn about what the Lab is all about, and how it can help you build your resume and learn valuable transferable skills.
