World AIDS Day Reading of Names 2016

December 1, 2016 - 7:00 am to 4:30 pm

Old Capitol Building

In celebration of December 1st, 2016 World AIDS Day and as part of IC Red Week, a week-long, student-led HIV-AIDS awareness initiative, the AIDS Quilt Touch research team will be holding a dawn-to-dusk Reading of Names from the AIDS Memorial Quilt on the east side of the Old Capitol Museum in recognition of those lost to AIDS.

We hope to have a series of readers throughout the whole day, who will each read the names of those lost to AIDS from a given list for 5 minutes.

Refreshments will be available inside the Old Capitol Museum and a section of the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display in the House Chamber.
