BSides Workshop: LIS Publication

The editors at B Sides wants to encourage you to take the opportunity to publish your conference work, your poster or your final class projects in the B Sides journal.

In order to support this process, we have arranged a “Presentation to Publication” workshop, scheduled for next Tuesday, April 26th. The session will be held at noon in classroom 3082. Lunch will be provided by B Sides. (If you would like a vegetarian option, email

Workshop schedule:

Noon- 12:15 – Professor Elmborg will present publication tips and best practices*

12:15 – 1:00 – Brainstorming and project development workshop.

· If you have a completed project, like a class assignment, a poster or a conference presentation we will walk you through the next steps toward publishing in B Sides.

· If you presented at a conference, have an idea for some research or want to help and provide feedback to your peers, we will work together to develop new ideas.

· This is also a really great opportunity for any first year students interested in examining potential poster project topics, or anyone with a seed of a passion or idea.

We hope you take advantage of this workshop! This is not only designed for those currently interested publishing but also for any student interested in learning more and gaining some insight into the publication expectations of professionals in our field.
