LUNAFEST Film Festival

Girls on the Run of Johnson County is hosting LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for, and about women on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Bijou Theater in the Iowa Memorial Union at the University of Iowa. The silent auction begins at 6:30 PM and the films will screen at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $7 with proceeds benefiting Girls on the Run of Johnson County and the Breast Cancer Fund. This is Iowa City's first time hosting the nationally-acclaimed LUNAFEST and we're thrilled to be a part of it. The films range from animation to fictional drama and cover topics from African childbirth to Persian marriage to women's rugby to aging nude models.
