With the advent of GPS and mobile technology my team, Appoet began producing Infused the GPS-Enabled Magazine. The mobile app allows for users to geocache hotspots to real world coordinates for art, music, literature, film, and photography. When another Infused user walks through the hotspot their phone vibrates and they’re prompted to engage with the posted creative piece. This allows for localized stories and education wherein hotspots clue the reader into a place or space’s narrative. However, the technology can also be used to create musical events, invisible bookstores, and hidden galleries for Infused users to stumble upon using their phones. The application will be free to use and available on iOS and Android devices late spring.
