NextGen Digital Humanists - Studio Talk Featuring Michael Manderino and Eric Zimmer

February 12, 2015 - 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

N150 Lindquist (UITV Studio)

While the number of people who are familiar with the idea of digital humanities is growing, it remains to a large extent trapped in higher education. How can we adapt our tools for a wider audience? How are students' understandings of history mediated by technology? How can we better prepare teachers to use multimedia tools in the classroom?

Please join Michael Manderino, Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University, and Eric Zimmer, a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Iowa, in a conversation about why and how bringing digital humanities tools into the classroom impacts learning.

Students, faculty and staff and members of the public are welcome.

Presented by the Digital Studio for the Public Arts & Humanities.
