Fulbright Intensive Workshop

If you're thinking of applying for the 2015-2016 Fulbright competition, you should attend this intensive workshop!

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest U.S. exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide. The program currently awards approximately 1,900 grants annually in all fields of study for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistantships, and operates in more than 140 countries worldwide.

The UI Fulbright Intensive Workshop will include:

  • Information session about Fulbright application process
  • Hands-on essay writing session with UI faculty mentors
  • Q & A with successful student and faculty Fulbright grantees

Currently-enrolled UI students and alumni interested in applying through the UI may contact Fulbright Program Advisor Karen Wachsmuth in International Programs for assistance with the application process and for editorial assistance. The Fulbright competition is formally announced in May, and advising assistance is available throughout the summer.
