LISSO Holds First Meeting of Semester

About 20 students attended the first meeting for the Library and Information Science Student Organization this semester.
Officers and second year students talked about their summer internship and education experiences. These ranged from an internship working with teens at the Iowa City Public Library to studying libraries in China through Rhode Island University’s International Library program. Several students also attended the Digital Humanities Summer Institute in British Columbia. Many advised to apply early for funding if current students are looking for travel education opportunities.
